New website launched!

Welcome to my beautiful new website. A very special thank you to my drummer, brother and web designer Loren Davidson for giving me this wonderful website as a birthday present. What could be finer?

I haven’t posted any news for a long time but that’s mainly because my husband and I had another baby on June 2, 2010. His name is Benjamin and he’s so lovely. Of course, our other son, Daniel is not yet three so we’ve been just a little busy! Babies, babies everywhere!

Fall is just around the corner which means that I will resume teaching. I have openings for voice and beginner piano lessons at my home studio in South Vancouver. On Mondays, I will be teaching voice and the women’s choir, The Real Treble Makers at Mt. Pleasant Community Centre. On Tuesdays, I will be teaching Music & Movement at Renfrew Community Centre. You can register for any of these programs at http://vancouver.ca. On Saturdays, I will be teaching Young Tunes at the Shadbolt Centre. That course has three different age groups and you can register for those classes at http://www.burnaby.ca.

On the performing end of things, I have decided to cut back. I will continue to sing alto in the Laudate Singers. We have a great season coming up with a Baroque Christmas, a saxophone, synthesizer and choral combo in March and a Celtic program in May. During the Christmas season, I will be managing and singing in my a cappella caroling group, the Caminando Carolers as well as leading the sing-a-longs for Vancouver Charters and solo voice and piano gigs. My singer/songwriter gigs have been reduced simply because of a lack of time. With a newborn and a toddler, a busy teaching studio and Laudate, I simply don’t have the time or the energy for much else. Also, I haven’t been writing new songs lately. I will return to my love of writing and performing original music but for now, my main focus is on being a mother and that is an incredible creative experience of its own. I have two beautiful loves and their smiles are such a reward every day.

Now that I have a new site and Benjamin isn’t eating 24/7, I will post news more often. Please feel free to send me your comments, inquiries, etc. using the contact form on this site. Until next time.
