October News
October is turning into a pleasantly busy month. My voice studio is active as always. Our boys Daniel and Benjamin are like twins right now in that they are at approximately the same level and into everything. Still, they seem to love having students around. They’ll even clap for students and greet them at the door. At 4 years and 16 months respectively, they are truly adorable.
Laudate Singers has its annual silent auction and gala fundraising dinner on Tues., Oct. 25 at the Seymour Golf and Country Club. The theme this year is An Evening of Musical Theatre featuring favourite songs by soloists, choir and audience. Entertainment and bidding begin at 6:00 pm, dinner at 7:15 pm, followed by numbers by the choir. Tickets are $75.00 and must be purchased by Oct. 20th. To reserve, call 604-729-6814. I will be donating four loaves of my homemade bread AND I’m singing “‘Til There Was You”. Come for the bread, stay for the music – and it’s really good bread! In an attempt to promote my teaching business and my wild and crazy life as a working mother (hah!), I’ve actually joined Twitter. My handle is miriamjdavidson. Soon, I may even figure out how to add the logo onto the website so I can pretend to look hip and cool like all the other kids… who am I kidding? I’ll get my web guy to figure it out. Follow me.
Until the next blog post – probably at the beginning of November.
